Why Take Lessons?

People take singing lessons for various reasons; because they love to sing, and want to be the best they can, to improve their confidence and set themselves goals, some are professional singers who are noticing the wear and tear on their voices and know that in order to protect their career and an income they need to learn how to maintain their instrument! Whatever your reason for wanting to improve your voice, we are here to help!

We help you build the voice you want!

Gigging regularly? Singing or using your voice a lot at school, college, uni, work or home? Find yourself getting sore throats or sounding croaky? ANYONE CAN LEARN

I constantly find people worried about asking for lessons, Some feel their voice will just never be trainable, Some worry that I will think they’re awful and will just laugh, Some worry they are not at a high enough standard yet, and some just haven’t built themselves up to sing in front of others yet. It’s important to know – My aim in life is to teach singing and music to anyone who is willing to learn. Regardless of your current ability, anyone can learn to improve their voice!

As a wonderful teacher once said to me, “If you can speak – you can sing!”

To be honest I have never found a singer I couldn’t offer help to, I work with beginners to pros and always find something each week to teach them! Your voice is a very personal thing, its understandable if you happen to be self- conscious, For singers who are worried about starting lessons – you need to realise, I’ve probably seen it all before – I’ve worked with singers who struggle with grasping the basics of singing all the way up to those who have had lessons for years. So whether you’re struggling with your pitch or are working with more advanced techniques I am sure I can help!

So if you have any concerns about starting lessons, drop me a message and we can discuss how to make things a little easier for you!

"Having singing lessons with Sally has been a life changing thing!"

“Having singing lessons with Sally has been a life changing thing. For many years music has been my passion. I’ve written music but only really ever played my songs for my parents. I remember being told if you can’t sing well naturally there is no point in having lessons and I took this to heart. After a difficult time I decided to make music a bigger part of my life and sought out singing lessons with Sally. I soon learnt the myriad of techniques people can use to improve their voice. 5 years later and I now have a whole register I wasn’t even using, hitting notes I never dared try and understand almost instinctively now how to control my voice and make the sounds I want. This has been huge for me. But the biggest improvement I have seen is my confidence. I remember being petrified to open my mouth. Because of Sally’s lessons and courses I have: joined a vocal group, sang collectively at gigs, played at her student showcase, performed regularly at open mic nights and finally performed at victorious festival. Sally teaches technique brilliantly but also is part counsellor. part promoter and part social media guru. She’s helped me launch myself online, record in a studio and continue my song writing. So as I said life changing. Without her I would still be sat in my room writing songs for no one to hear but because of her I share my passion for music whenever I have the opportunity, to top it all off she is one of the loveliest people! Thank you Sally.”
